10.3 System Error/Interrupt Matrix
This section discusses interrupts and hardware-caused machine checks.
Exceptions—encompassing faults, arithmetic traps, and synchronous traps—are
not discussed.
All interrupt flows include PALcode’s construction of an interrupt stack frame, as
shown in Figure 11.

Some interrupts cause PALcode to build a corrected error (small) logout frame or
machine check (large) logout frame in memory.
Figure 12 illustrates the format of the corrected error (small) logout frame.
Figure 13 illustrates the format of the machine check (large) logout frame.
