2.1 Diagnostic Overview
The <REFERENCE>(6000) systems are tested with two types
of diagnostics: ROM-based and loadable. The ROM-based
diagnostics (RBD) include self-tests, additional power-up
tests, and callable diagnostics (from the RBD monitor).
The loadable diagnostics run under the VAX Diagnostic
Supervisor (VAX/DS) in standalone mode or in user mode
(see Figure 2–1).
